Chrome Delete in Naples, FL.
Factory brightwork refinished in satin, gloss or matte black vinyl. Parts are removed where safe and practical; other pieces are wrapped in place. No shortcuts.
Three photos of your trim get you a straight read: what unclips, what wraps in place.
A chrome delete changes window surrounds, grille trim, mirror caps, badges and roof rails with removable vinyl. Zap Wrap Naples uses careful prep, safe trimming methods and wrapped edges where the part geometry allows.
What goes dark, and how.
Scope is per piece, and the usual list looks like this:
- Window surrounds and beltline trim
- Grille frame and inserts, where the mesh allows film
- Mirror caps
- Badges and lettering
- Roof rails and door pillars
- Fog bezels and lower brightwork
Where a piece can be removed safely, it can be wrapped on the bench with the edges finished around it. Factory-fixed parts are wrapped in position using vehicle-appropriate trimming methods. The planned approach is explained before work starts.
One honest note: raw textured plastic does not bond film cleanly. If part of your trim is that plastic, you hear it at the inspection, not in August when an edge lets go.
Finishes for a delete.
Satin black is the delete: the blackout look the factories sell as an option package, done in film on the car you already own. The codes we reach for most:
- Satin black: 3M S12, Avery Dennison SW900-197-O
- Gloss black: 3M G12, Avery Dennison SW900-190-O, KPMF K75443 Gloss Perfect Black
- Matte black: Avery Dennison SW900-180-O, KPMF K75547 Matte Perfect Black
- Accent: 3M CFS12 Black Carbon Fiber on mirror caps and spoilers
Same cast-film catalogs as our full wraps: no economy trim rolls. And if the car keeps its factory color, half the consult is matching the black's sheen to your paint's temperature: satin against matte-adjacent colors, gloss against deep metallics.
Brightwork versus the Gulf.
Covered trim is less exposed to routine sun and road grime while the vinyl is installed. Existing corrosion, pitting or surface damage remains underneath and is documented before installation.
Work is completed by appointment at 524-A Industrial Blvd, Naples, FL 34104. Drivers also come from Bonita Springs, Marco Island, Fort Myers and Cape Coral.
Chrome delete questions.
Can I get the chrome back later?
Usually. Vinyl can be removed from sound, intact trim, but the result depends on the condition underneath and any previous repair work. We inspect and document the trim before installation.
Why film instead of painting or powder-coating the trim?
Vinyl creates the blackout look without permanently repainting the trim. Removal is generally possible on sound, intact surfaces; painted, repaired or deteriorated pieces require inspection.
Does film stick to textured plastic?
Smooth chrome, gloss plastic and suitable painted trim can often be wrapped. Raw textured plastics may not provide a reliable bond. We identify those pieces during inspection and confirm which parts are suitable before work begins.
Can you do just the badges or just the window trim?
Yes: scope is per piece. Plenty of owners start with window surrounds and mirrors, live with it for a week, then book the rest. The car tells you.
